A Little Local Knowledge Goes a Long Way

New Mexico's construction environment is unlike anywhere else in the country. Caliche hardpan prevents standard BMP installation. Arroyos and ephemeral draws move water in ways that aren't captured on federal drainage maps. The monsoon season — July through September — can trigger a 0.25-inch post-storm inspection requirement multiple times in a single week. And then the entire site desiccates for five months of near-zero precipitation.

Twenty years of New Mexico and Arizona field work means Inspections Plus has seen every site condition the region produces:

Caliche soils — pneumatic stake driving, hardpan-specific BMP anchoring
Arroyo systems — flow velocity estimation, rock check dam sizing for high desert channels
Monsoon hydrology — on-call inspection protocol, multi-event BMP durability assessment
Rio Grande basin — jurisdictional water determination, buffer zone requirements
Bernalillo County — CABQ fugitive dust permit coordination, local enforcement contacts
Permian Basin — oilfield-adjacent construction, industrial MSGP applicability review
High desert (5,000–7,500 ft elevation) — UV degradation, seasonal stabilization timing
Santa Fe/Taos area — NRCS Web Soil Survey application to volcanic soils and canyon terrain
